Five More of the Hottest Bands in Rock to Perform at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip

Sturgis, SD (May 13, 2015) – The roster for the Largest Music Festival in MotorcyclingTM at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip® continues to grow as five more of the hottest rock bands in the world are slated to perform.

The undisputed king of shock-rock, Alice Cooper, will take the headline position on the Wolfman Jack Stage on Saturday, Aug. 1, following a performance by heavy metal rockers Five Finger Death Punch. Cooper is famous for his fantastical, theatrical rock shows which are known to feature guillotines, electric chairs, fake blood and boa constrictors.

Black Hills Students Awarded 2015 Buffalo Chip Challenge™ Scholarships

Sturgis, SD (May 4, 2015) – The Buffalo Chip Challenge, a collaboration between the Sturgis Buffalo Chip, Keith Terry of Terry Components, Dakota V-Twin, Baggster, Sturgis Brown High School and a large group of industry-leading sponsors was opened for the first time ever to all Black Hills area high school students in 2015. The program was designed to introduce students to a career in motorcycle customization. In addition to implementing and helping to organize partners for the program for the past five years, Rod Woodruff, president of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip, offered participating students the opportunity to apply for $8,500 in scholarship. Three outstanding Black Hills students have been chosen to receive these awards.

Biker Belles® Celebration Makes Big Changes for 2015 Event

Sturgis, SD (May 6, 2015) –The Sturgis Buffalo Chip®’s Biker Belles event will celebrate women and the role they play in shaping the culture, sport, art and history of motorcycling on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Buffalo Chip CrossRoads VIP Center. Created by the Buffalo Chip seven years ago to raise awareness of the passion, diversity and spirit of women in motorcycling and to raise funds for worthy local charities, the event has undergone some big changes for 2015.
