Builders from around the country gathered as the Buffalo Chip’s Student Build Challenge™ participants rolled their fully customized 2014 Harley-Davidson® Street Glide onto the showroom floor at the recent Donnie Smith Bike Show. The motorcycle’s anticipated reveal at the show brought a powerful and eye-catching custom 2014 Street Glide into the public eye—a feat the Sturgis Brown High School class hoped would bring home a major award for the second year in a row. Falling in love with a trike is easier than you might at first think. In fact, many riders who swear their fidelity to bikes often change their minds after just one ride. While reasons for crossing over to a trike can vary, riders often agree: once you go trike, you never go bike! This new interactive website will allow you to explore the profiles of bands interested in playing on the Chip’s stages during the 2014 August music festival. Big Sturgis Gig band profiles will feature mp3s, videos, photos and bio information. There will be plenty of cool content for you to discover and explore, because these bands are vying for an unbelievable prize: a full-length set on the Chip’s Wolfman Jack Main Stage opening for some of the biggest names in music, not to mention $10,000 in cold hard cash!

Each year the renowned Donnie Smith Bike Show brings out the best of the best in custom motorcycles, parts and products. So to some it may seem a surprising location to spot a motorcycle customized by a group of high school students. But those who have been following the Buffalo Chip’s Student Build Challenge™ know the bike these students customized will likely garner some major attention at the show. Why?
