A new generation is shaping the industry, and they are ready to show what they can do.
Sturgis, SD (May 4, 2017) An incredible group of young builders and artists who have been inspired by the iron stylings of previous generations will be creating new works that reflect the attitude and attributes of the present in the Buffalo Chip’s 2017 Motorcycles as Art exhibit, “Old Iron/Young Blood; Motorcycles and the Next-Gen,” curated by famed motorcycle photographer Michael Lichter. Forty builders under 36 years of age have accepted the challenge to build a custom masterpiece especially for this exhibit, each of which will be displayed atop elevated pedestals and lit with theater lights to better give guests an open view from every angle. The exhibition is free to the public and open in the Buffalo Chip’s Event Center 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 5 through Friday, Aug. 11. More information can be found at MotorcyclesAsArt.com.

The Buffalo Chip’s Biker Belles tradition of honoring women in motorcycling continues with special guests, new features and old friends.
Buffalo Chip, SD (May 2, 2017) – An inclusive opportunity to celebrate women in motorcycling and connect with those who are shaping the industry, driving change and breaking long-held traditions will take place Tuesday, Aug. 8 during the Buffalo Chip’s ninth annual Biker Belles celebration. This charity event opens with The Morning Ride™ that leads participants on a beautiful journey from the Buffalo Chip’s CrossRoads to the Lodge at Deadwood. Here participants will experience the Comfort Zone by Team Diva, a catered lunch and an inspiring symposium. The theme “My Motorcycle Life” will open the path to discussions surrounding the role motorcycling plays in the lives of women and those who love and serve them. The epicenter of rally events adds multiple days of racing action at the Largest Music Festival in MotorcyclingTM.
Sturgis, SD (April 21, 2017) More adrenaline-packed racing events have this year been added to the Sturgis Buffalo Chip Moto Stampede race series at the premier action center of the rally. Six of the motorcycle and music festival’s nine days offers thrilling racing from American Flat Track and RSD Super Hooligan to street drags, Dirt Riot Off-Road, and AMA Supermoto. Audiences will have an up-close viewing experience with concert pairings they won’t find in any other venue in the world.
