The next in a list of exciting Sturgis Rally TV shows filmed at the Buffalo Chip airs this weekend. CMT will broadcast its “Orange County Choppers” episode entitled “The GAF Sturgis Bike” on Saturday, Nov. 23.
“Orange County Choppers” is a reality TV show that chronicles the ins and outs of the renowned motorcycle manufacturer of the same name. In each episode, the OCC team, headed by Paul Teutul Sr., reaches new extremes in custom bike building. The episode filmed in part at the Buffalo Chip during the 2013 Sturgis Rally is no exception.
In this episode, North America’s largest roofing manufacturer approaches Paul Sr. about building a bike for them. But there’s a catch. They want it ready in two and a half weeks so they can present it to a wounded combat veteran at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip during the Sturgis Rally. To add to the pressure, the bike presentation will take place on the Buffalo Chip’s Wolfman Jack Stage in front of a sea of motorcycle enthusiasts.

Winning an American Music Award is a huge honor and sometimes viewers end up asking themselves, “What makes a band a sensation? What's so special about them?”
This year, recently announced Buffalo Chip performers, Florida Georgia Line, have been nominated to win four American Music Awards: New Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, Favorite Country Band and Favorite Country Album. Not only that, the duo will take center stage to perform at the prestigious event.
So why is all this significant for Florida Georgia Line? Because, unlike other music awards shows, the AMAs lets fans decide who the winner should be. Nominations are determined by album sales, amount of airplay, activity on social networks and video viewing. Then after nominees are announced, fans can go online to cast votes for their favorites.

With our nation’s upcoming observation of Veterans Day, the Buffalo Chip would like to take this opportunity to salute the men and women of our military. Their tireless fight to preserve our freedoms has allowed us to enjoy a way of life unrivaled by that of any other country; and for this we thank you.
In 2013, these brave men and women were celebrated with a full day dedication at the Buffalo Chip during the Freedom Celebration. The annual military tribute day included a poignant presentation to the families of fallen Navy SEALs, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty. The two showed heroic patriotism and courage in Benghazi, Libya, sacrificing their lives while saving the lives of many others. Members of their family were present on the Buffalo Chip’s main stage to accept the honors on Thursday, Aug. 8.
