Lynyrd Skynyrd began their Hall of Fame career with their 1973 hit, “Gimme Three Steps”. The hits didn’t stop there as they continue to turn out chart-toppers like “Sweet Home Alabama”, “Swamp Music”, “Smokestack Lightning” and “Free Bird”. Inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2006, Lynyrd Skynyrd is among Rolling Stone magazine’s and VH1’s 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. Guitar World magazine named the solo in Skynyrd’s southern rock anthem, “Free Bird”, the third greatest of all time.
