Sturgis, SD (October 30, 2018) – Another heavy-hitter has been added to the Sturgis Buffalo Chip lineup. The gritty hard rock of Collective Soul will hit a homerun in the opener for Styx when they take the Chip’s Wolfman Jack Stage on Monday, Aug. 5, 2019. Monday’s superstar double header is a big score for the first 200 fan who donate and make a reservation to participate in the 2019 Legends Ride as they will be attending the concerts for free. The edgy rock that has made Collective Soul an unbounded success propelled a number of their songs and albums into the record books. “Collective Soul,” their self-titled second album went triple platinum and logged 76 weeks on the Billboard 200.

The 38th annual Sturgis Buffalo Chip Motorcycle and Music Festival will open with a pre-rally party July 29 – Aug. 1, 2019, with official festival dates running Aug. 2-11, 2019. In addition to Collective Soul and Styx, the Buffalo Chip has also announced the performance of country music superstar Keith Urban on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019.
