What stretches of beautiful backcountry and iconic landmarks are on your must-ride list? If doing Sturgis is in your sights, there are countless ideas worth adding to your itinerary.

Places like Mount Rushmore, Deadwood, Crazy Horse, Devil’s Tower, Pactola and Badlands National Park are a must for any rider who finds themselves in the Black Hills. Women riders looking to take the adventure to the next level can experience these rides and others as part of the women-only Wild Gypsy Tour. Here’s a preview of what you’ll experience on three of the rides!

2020 WILD GYPSY BLACK HILLS RIDE OUTS PREVIEW

Mount Rushmore Ride

Where: From the Chip to Mount Rushmore and back.
When: Date To Be Announced
Number of Miles: 190
Ride Duration: Roughly 3 hours of road time (not including gas stops/spending time at Mt. Rushmore)

This route will include a scenic ride through the Black Hills National Forest, taking roads off the main drag. The mid-point will be the stop at Mt Rushmore where you’ll spend some time taking in the National Memorial.

From there the group will grab lunch (each respective rider is responsible for their own food), then head back to the Buffalo Chip through Rapid City and Sturgis to catch some relaxation before jumping into a night of more fun!

Specific gas stops and lunch spot to be announced, this route is subject to change.

Pactola Ride

Where: From the Sturgis Buffalo Chip to Pactola Reservoir and back
Number of Miles: 186
When: Date To Be Announced
Ride Duration: Roughly 3 hours of road time (not including gas stops/spending time at Pactola)

This route will feature a slightly shorter scenic drive through the Black Hills National Forest with the destination of Pactola Reservoir! On our way to Pactola, you’ll stop to grab bagged lunches to bring to the Pactola Point Swim Beach.

When the group arrives at the Lake, you’ll have time to eat your lunch and hop in the lake to cool off from the hot summer sun! Once the food has been eaten and the swimming has been done, it’s back on the bikes to cruise back to the Buffalo Chip to clean up and chillax before party time!

This will likely be a longer day away from camp – so anticipate that this will be a longer commitment given the hang time we are budgeting for relaxing at the lake!

Specific gas stops and lunch spot to be announced, this route is subject to change.
