When you live in the greatest country on earth, there are times you’ll get to see or do something so awesome that proclaiming your feelings of pride with a spirited “ ‘MURICA!” is pretty much mandatory. If you’re a true patriot, check out these seven mind-blowing ‘Murican things guaranteed to get your red, white and blue blood pumping! Be sure to read to the end, because we saved the best for last.

1. Cooking Bacon on the Barrel of Your Gun

Here’s a recipe for freedom straight from the kitchen of competitive shooter Dustin Ellerman. For this recipe you’ll need one piece of uncooked bacon, an M16 (or other rifle of your choice), and about 90 rounds.

No words can better describe the extreme levels of badassery displayed in this video than those the gun gastronomist whispers himself: “So much ‘Murica right now.”

2. Ordering a McEverything

Food blogger Nick Chipman of Dude Foods knows a thing or two about bacon himself, having written reviews on such delicacies as the double-decker mac & cheese stuffed bacon-weave taco and chocolate-covered bacon with bacon sprinkles. But on a scale of one to ‘Murica, these indulgences pale in comparison to the towering McDonald’s mash-up Chipman created by ordering one of every breakfast and lunch sandwich on the menu. He calls it the “McEverything.”

McDonald’s recently made its breakfast menu available all day, which means you can order yourself a McEverything whenever the mood strikes. Just make sure you’ve got the $141.33 to cover the sandwich and a large Diet Coke to wash it down. “MMM…MMM…MMMURICA!”

3. Taking a Selfie with a Bald Eagle

What would you do if you stumbled upon a Bald Eagle that had mistakenly made its way into a fur trap? This was the very predicament Michael and Neil Fletcher recently faced while out grouse hunting. The profoundly patriotic brothers passed the test with flying red, white and blue colors by taking this epic selfie.

If they didn’t shout “ ‘MURICA!” when they let the eagle go, chances are they yelled “FREE BIRD!” And we all know that’s pretty much the same thing.

4. Doing a Burnout during Kid Rock’s “American Badass”

What do Abraham Lincoln, General George Patton, Neil Armstrong, Evel Knievel and Kid Rock all have in common? They’re all badass Americans who don’t take no for an answer, that’s what. While doing a burnout during Kid Rock’s “American Badass” will not elevate you to their level, it’s guaranteed to make your heart swell with ‘Murican pride. So stop what you’re doing, crank this video to 11 and give it all you’ve got.

Want the real thing? Then don’t miss seeing Kid Rock’s performance during the Largest Music Festival in Motorcycling™ at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip®.

5. Riding Cross Country on Route 66 Atop an American V-Twin

If a biker shouts “ ‘MURICA!” into the Grand Canyon and no one’s around to hear it, does he make a sound? How about off the Santa Monica Pier? Into the mouth of the Blue Whale of Catoosa? There’s only one way to find out, and that’s to hop on an American v-twin and travel down this great nation’s Mother Road–Route 66.

This 2,451-mile patch of patriotic pavement will take you past so many beautiful and iconic locales of the American West that you may spontaneously begin belting the refrain of Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA.” We suggest getting your kicks on EagleRider’s Route 66 Tour. Any rider on America’s Main Street can also use the Rider Friendly Establishment Map to find great places to stop!

6. Watching the Fourth of July Fireworks at Mount Rushmore

When it comes to throwing America a birthday party, the motto at Mount Rushmore is “Go Big or Go Home!” The 30-minute star-spangled spectacle is so magnificent, it’s allegedly moved Lady Liberty herself to tears. Grab a tissue before starting the video below because we fast-forwarded to the grand finale.

If Mount Rushmore is on your bucket list, there’s never been a better time to visit. The destination celebrates its monumental 75th anniversary in 2016. If Mount Rushmore’s NOT on your bucket list…well, you might need to reassess your life goals.
