Sturgis, SD (April 30, 2015) – Yellowstone Off-Road Racing will kick off an expanded racing season at the AMA “Track of the Year” award-winning Sturgis Buffalo Chip PowerSports Complex June 12 and 13. The Liberty Superstore/Dakota Customs 250 is the first of five races in the Wild West Off-Road Race Series, held mostly in Montana and Wyoming and will provide some exciting, pre-rally racing excitement.
The gates will open Friday, June 12 at 5:00 p.m. with Rapid City band Granite Sun kicking off the event at 7:00 p.m. Saturday gates open at 7:30 a.m. with live racing starting at 9:00 a.m. The racing action will begin with two classes of UTVs followed by five classes of trucks. Racing will end at approximately 6:00 p.m. followed by an awards ceremony at 7:00 p.m. Granite Sun will perform Saturday 8:00 p.m. to Midnight.
Tickets for the full weekend of races are just $10 and are available at Liberty Superstores, the Collision Center and Kelly’s Sports Lounge in Rapid City.
RV camping with full hook-ups, tent spaces and cabins are all available at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. Reservations may be made by calling 605-347-9000 and must be made by June 5.
