Give the perfect Mother’s Day gift

Author: Amanda
Tell mom “Thank You” with the perfect Mother’s Day gift

We say thank you to them one day out of the year but they are there for us, and our children, every day out of the year, in every situation, and they sacrifice everything to help us. So what will you do this Mother’s Day weekend to say thank you to the most important women in your life? Perhaps give them the joyful camaraderie that comes with the hottest ride that celebrates Real Women, Real Stories, Real Fun, the annual Biker Belles® Celebration or perhaps great new 2013 Ladies Buffalo Chip wear to get her ready and excited for the Best Party Anywhere™ this summer.

The Biker Belles celebration is now more affordable than ever before with $45 tickets, and the option of upgrading to include Toby Keith concert tickets. After all it’s the first and best ride that truly celebrates women in motorcycling. So celebrate the mother of your children by giving her the freedom that she’s been craving. Help her join the ride of her lifetime with other women just like her.

UniMotorcycle Drag Racing makes way to Sturgis rally

Author: Amanda
World record stunt attempted at Sturgis Buffalo Chip

You’ve seen world record stunts on two wheels, three wheels and four wheels, but what about racing on one wheel? And we’re not talking a unicycle. We’re talking a motorized one wheeled motorcycle, with no steering and no brakes. Now that’s a legendary race! And you’ll get to see it this year, if you make your way to the CrossRoads at the Buffalo Chip daily to witness the UniMotorcycle Drag Racing event. In addition, watch these one wheeled maniacs attempt to break the World Record on Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 5 p.m. at CrossRoads. This is one world record stunt race you won’t want to miss!

UniMotorcycle Drag Racing was invented by William “Sidecar Willy” Nassau after realizing he’s raced everything on two, three and four wheels and was looking for a new challenge. A few beers, a bunch of used motorcycle parts, multiple test runs, and a bruised face later, the Unimotorcycle was debuted outside of a Daytona Beach bar during Bike Week 1991. Co-founder Bob Sheskie made the first successful 100 feet run on the unimotorcycle and the sport was born.

Local Fundraiser for Darwin Brink a Huge Success

Author: Amanda

Hundreds of people gathered together in honor of one man, one man who helped shape their lives, in order to help support his recovery. The Darwin Brink Benefit went off without a hitch, bringing together people from all walks of life, and raising a record amount of money for one single person. Between the live and silent auctions, and other various donations, the benefit was able to raise nearly $30,000 for Darwin.

Darwin Brink, a member of the Buffalo Chip family since 2004, recently suffered a stroke after having surgery at the Mayo Clinic. While many may not know Darwin’s face, they know his accomplishments. His famous Buffalo Chip sculpture and the world’s largest V-Twin Motor sculpture greet bikers upon their arrival at the campground. Donations can still be made by sending them to Darwin Brink Benefit at 20622 131st Ave. Sturgis, SD 57785.
