Sturgis, SD – – Flashy chrome, crazy customization, new-tech engineering and old-school horsepower will all be on display at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip® in August when eight distinct bike shows make the venue the “Bike Show Capital of the World.” The motorcycle shows, scheduled to take place Saturday, Aug. 4 – Friday, Aug. 10, will feature the world’s most eye-popping machines on 2 or 3 wheels. Participants in most shows have the opportunity to win prizes ranging from cold, hard cash and custom trophies to full features in national magazines. Paul Teutul Jr. Unveils Buffalo Chip® Legends Ride® Custom on Discovery’s “American Chopper”
The custom masterwork, unveiled on national television, will be auctioned in support of the 2018 Legends Ride charity event on Monday, Aug. 6.
Sturgis, SD – A custom motorcycle built for the Sturgis Buffalo Chip by celebrity builder Paul Teutul Jr. on Discovery’s hit TV show “American Chopper” was revealed during an episode that aired May 28. Teutul first introduced audiences to the Buffalo Chip-inspired custom bike in the series’ March 1season premiere. The second episode again featured the build as he visited the Buffalo Chip and surrounding Black Hills for inspiration and then completed the project. The Buffalo Chip will offer the public the opportunity to own Teutul’s masterwork by auctioning it off in support of its signature Legends Ride charity event on Monday, Aug. 6 at 2 p.m. on Deadwood’s Historic Main Street. One hundred percent of rider fees from the event benefit the South Dakota Special Olympics Rapid City Flame‘s Buffalo Chip Gym and the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum. NASCAR and Motorsports Legends Join TV Star Paul Teutul Jr. to Raise Money for Local Charities at Buffalo Chip® Legends Lunch
NASCAR legend Rusty Wallace and Motorsports Hall of Famers Don Prudhomme, Walker Evans and Paul Teutul Jr. are inviting 41 fans to join them for a gourmet lunch prior to the annual Legends Ride.
Sturgis, SD – Four of the most famous faces in racing and custom motorcycles will serve as hosts to this year’s Buffalo Chip’s Legends Lunch. Fans have an opportunity to spend two hours with celebrity bike builder and reality TV star Paul Teutul Jr., NASCAR racing legend and Winston Cup Champion Rusty Wallace, Drag Racing’s Hall of Famer Don “The Snake” Prudhomme and off-road champion and Hall of Famer Walker “The Legend” Evans. The event includes a gourmet lunch served at the Legends Steakhouse in Deadwood’s Historic Franklin Hotel and VIP bike parking. The lunch will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 6 and conclude in time for attendees to join the Legends Ride. Only 41 seats are available at $300 per person, with proceeds benefiting the local Naja Shrine Patient Transportation Services and Sgt. Colton Levi Derr Foundation.

Discovery’s “American Chopper” Buffalo Chip® Motorcycle to be Unveiled Live May 28 in Deadwood
The custom will be unveiled to the public for the first time at the Old Style Saloon #10 while the show airs on the Discovery Channel.
Deadwood, SD – The successful Discovery Channel series that brought America the father-son team of Paul Teutul Sr. and Paul Teutul Jr. is back with a big connection to South Dakota’s Black Hills. The first episode of American Chopper, “Welcome Back,” aired in March, and Paul Jr. offered a few glimpses of his latest project, a Sturgis Buffalo Chip-inspired custom. The episode that will air May 28, will feature the bike and likely include footage of Mt Rushmore and Deadwood’s historic Main Street filmed last fall. The motorcycle has been under embargo awaiting the unveil on national television.Anyone wanting to be one of the first to see the bike can do so during a live unveil at the Old Style Saloon #10 at 9 p.m. on Monday, May 28 while the show airs on Discovery.

Stars of HISTORY’s top-rated show will be meeting and greeting fans this August.
Sturgis, SD – For the past seven years fans have been watching Shannon Aikau, Ryan Evans and “Horny” Mike help to restore and create beautiful vehicles on HISTORY’s top-rated show, “Counting Cars.” Now those same fans will have several opportunities see these three personalities and their creations in person when they make appearances and show off some of their favorite motorcycles at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip in August. Sturgis, SD – The sixth annual FXR Show & Dyna Mixer is a unique social opportunity to hang out and talk motorcycles with friends while admiring what some consider the best-handling Harley-Davidsons ever manufactured. Over 100 FXR and Dyna motorcycles are expected to show up to the Sturgis Buffalo Chip free-access CrossRoads, making it quite possibly the largest single show of the rally. The FXR has a long standing history in the custom world and has along with the DYNA found popularity once again with a new generation of riders and customizers inspired by legends like Don Hotop, Billy Westbrook, Donnie Smith and many others. In lieu of trophies, winners are awarded quality motorcycle parts and merchandise, thanks to the support of some of the biggest names in the industry.
