Experience a one-two punch that’ll leave you seeing stars when The Takeover kicks off a heart-pounding night of entertainment in the Buffalo Chip amphitheater on Saturday, Aug. 8 prior to the evening’s headlining performance from Shinedown.

Take your place ringside in the Kinison Playground for this sanctioned professional boxing event, brought to you by Team Certified Sports. Here, you’ll see some of boxing’s most ferocious competitors go toe-to-toe during two historic ABO title fights.

The fights will be broadcast live worldwide through Adversary Sports Entertainment. The ASE team will be led by broadcast producer and boxing hall-of-famer Ira Glass, and will include Emmy Award winning program host Jay Adams, Florida Boxing Hall of Fame play x play color commentator Bob Alexander, and TV sports commentary announcer Dan Dewitt.


Team Certified Sports owner and head coach Ernie Haines

Team Certified Sports is the first-ever professional boxing team founded by a motorcycle club. The owner and head coach of Team Certified Sports' (Ernie Haines) family members are the founder of Team Certified Motorcycle Club, which originated in Gary Indiana and now has chapters in several states. 

When they make the transition from the road to the ring, some real heavy hitters come out to play. The team is comprised of more than 15 pro fighters located in seven states and three countries. They have over 20 staff members, which include Hall of Fame boxers, gold medal winners, veteran Kronk Gym fighters, IBF retired boxing champions and more.

Meet the Fighters

QUINTON RANKIN
Light Heavyweight

This Charlotte, NC native has always had the competitive edge. At age 20, Quinton tried boxing and rose quickly through the amateur ranks. He’s been part of six World Champions’ camps, and competed on major network boxing channels.

JOSE RODIRIGUEZ
Super Flyweight

Jose Rodriguez was granted the opportunity to fight a Bronze Medalist turned pro on CBS Sports. He also won an ABO Regional Title belt at 115 lbs.

AKEEM “CERTIFIED” BLACK
Super Welterweight

Akeem is a Regional ABO title belt holder. He’s fought twice on CBS Sports and was co-main event on a major television network in 2019. In 2018 he was top prospect of the year. His fight gained world-wide recognition with over 250,000 views

ANTHONY “TIGER” TAYLOR
Flyweight

Anthony was the smallest in his neighborhood and was getting picked on a lot. His luck changed the day day his coach broke up a fight in the street, took Anthony to his boxing club and gave him a gift that saved his life.

JOSH KAHN
Flyweight

This Virginia native showed athletic promise at a young age, competing in basketball, football, wrestling and boxing, not only at a state level, but a national level. Upon graduation, Joshua lost his father and decided it was time to get back in the ring, where he has now become a National Qualifier.
