Team Certified Sports owner and head coach Ernie Haines
Team Certified Sports is the first-ever professional boxing team founded by a motorcycle club. The owner and head coach of Team Certified Sports' (Ernie Haines) family members are the founder of Team Certified Motorcycle Club, which originated in Gary Indiana and now has chapters in several states.
When they make the transition from the road to the ring, some real heavy hitters come out to play. The team is comprised of more than 15 pro fighters located in seven states and three countries. They have over 20 staff members, which include Hall of Fame boxers, gold medal winners, veteran Kronk Gym fighters, IBF retired boxing champions and more.
Meet the Headliners
When Kewone was only 2-0, he was granted the opportunity to fight live on a television undercard at Barclay Center in Las Vegas, at one of boxing’s biggest venues.
Jose Rodriguez was granted the opportunity to fight a Bronze Medalist turned pro on CBS Sports. He also won an ABO Regional Title belt at 115 lbs.
AKEEM “CERTIFIED” BLACK
Akeem is a Regional ABO title belt holder. He’s fought twice on CBS Sports and was co-main event on a major television network in 2019. In 2018 he was top prospect of the year. His fight gained world-wide recognition with over 250,000 views.
This 11-1 Pro MMA fighter with over a million YouTube subscribers will be making his boxing debut during The Takeover.
