Pop Culture Meets Rock Tradition to Complete 2016 Sturgis Buffalo Chip® Lineup

Sturgis Buffalo Chip® fans are bracing for impact as the onslaught of rock which will round out the 2016 lineup is announced and an intriguing 35th anniversary poster is unveiled.

Buffalo Chip, SD (June 21, 2016) – The speculation is over as the 2016 Sturgis Buffalo Chip complete lineup announcement erases all doubt that it will be anything but another spectacular year at the Largest Music Festival in MotorcyclingTM. In addition to the legendary artists the Buffalo Chip has already announced such as Kid Rock, Miranda Lambert, Willie Nelson and Lynyrd Skynyrd, some of the planet’s top party bands have now made the list including Buckcherry, Cheap Trick, Pop Evil, RATT, Texas Hippie Coalition, ONE – The Only Tribute to Metallica and others.

Sturgis Buffalo Chip® Surprises Spearfish Student with Scholarship

Buffalo Chip, SD (June 21, 2016) – Spearfish High School student Logan Lucas was caught off guard Monday while visiting the Sturgis Buffalo Chip®’s office on an errand for his summer job. Buffalo Chip President Rod Woodruff surprised Lucas by announcing that he had been selected to receive a $1,599.89 scholarship courtesy of the Flying Piston Breakfast, a charity event held at the Chip last August. Educational grants awarded to Northern Black Hills students resulting from the Buffalo Chip’s two-year scholarship program now total nearly $19,000.

Moto Stampede Boosts Adrenaline in Buffalo Chip® Amphitheater

Buffalo Chip, SD (June 7, 2016) – For the first time ever the power and heart-thumping action of no-holds-barred racing will be paired with the meaty, heavy metal groove of one of the world’s top bands in a full-blown Moto Stampede in the Sturgis Buffalo Chip®’s amphitheater. The thrill of RSD Super Hooligan flat track races sponsored by Indian Motorcycle® coupled with the craziness of the Buffalo Chip’s street drags will lead up to hard-grooving performances by Five Finger Death Punch and Reverend Horton Heat on Wednesday, Aug. 10.
