Lita Ford Joins Sturgis Buffalo Chip® Party

Buffalo Chip, SD (June 28, 2016) – Matching the chart-topping Kid Rock with a comparable talent who can offer a full-tilt show that barrels through the Buffalo Chip’s natural amphitheater is a challenge not offered, nor accepted by many. When Grammy-award-winning singer-songwriter Leon Russell suffered a heart attack last week, it left the Sturgis Buffalo Chip with such an opening in its 2016 lineup. As luck would have it, celebrated Runaways lead guitarist and ‘80s glam metal maven Lita Ford was able to accept the challenge and will now open for Kid Rock on Sunday, Aug. 7.

Industry Leaders Take Seats on Buffalo Chip’s 2016 Biker Belles® Panel

Buffalo Chip, SD (July 6, 2016) – A panel of luminaries representing women from a broad cross section of today’s motorcycle industry will take a leading role in the Buffalo Chip’s 2016 Biker Belles® symposium on Tuesday, Aug. 9. Taking seats on the panel moderated by Marilyn Stemp of the Sturgis Rider Daily and Iron Trader News are BMW Motorrad’s Sarah Schilke, moto-journalist and Iron Lillies co-founder Leticia Cline, Perewitz Cycle Fab’s Jody Perewitz and land-speed record-holder Karlee Cobb. The Buffalo Chip chose this group of panelists due to their influence in the industry and their leading roles in helping to shape the future of motorcycling. Following a ride through the beautiful Black Hills the panel will discuss the theme “Two-Wheeled Transformation” while guests enjoy a catered lunch at The Lodge at Deadwood. The event was created to raise awareness of the passion, diversity and spirit of women in motorcycling and to raise funds for local worthy charities.

Custom Motorcycle Builders Mix with Fans at  Exclusive Charity Breakfast

Buffalo Chip, SD (June 21, 2016) – Custom motorcycle enthusiasts have a rare opportunity to join renowned U.S. and international custom builders and industry luminaries for a meet and greet to benefit educational scholarships during the second annual Flying Piston Charity Breakfast at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip®. Builders displaying in the Buffalo Chip’s 2016 Motorcycles As Art Exhibition, curated by Michael Lichter, will gather with other invited top-name builders to shake hands, sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans and friends. The event, organized by The Flying Piston and sponsored by Jekill & Hyde Exhaust and Yelvinton USA, takes place Sunday, Aug. 7 beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Big Engine Bar in the Chip’s free-access CrossRoads.
