America’s original extreme sport is coming back this August to inject your party with a serious dose of adrenaline!

After its explosive Buffalo Chip debut in 2017, The American Flat Track Series is returning to bring you and your friends the next level of racing on Sunday, Aug. 5 prior to a headlining concert from Theory of a Deadman on the Buffalo Chip’s main stage.

Dirt will fly as the nation’s top racing athletes boldly go handlebar to handlebar through the Chip’s legendary amphitheater during the Buffalo Chip TT races.

90 million homes will tune in to watch the feverish competition broadcast on NBC Sports on Saturday, Aug. 11, but you’ll be able to feel the heat in the flesh while these athletes battle from a mere heartbeat away during this authentic rally tradition.

The Track

The award-winning Buffalo Chip TT half-mile track is the newest in the American Flat Track Series. But unlike any of the others, it incorporates extraordinary challenges for racers and offer fans like you an expanded view of all the action!

This innovative tourist trophy track, designed by AFT’s seven-time world champion track builder Chris Carr, is the only track in the series that allows you to watch racers whip around multiple right-hand turns, fly over a jump and immediately follow it up with an epic concert in the same amphitheater.

Take in unprecedented views while watching from the sky bridge or party decks above or from directly behind the trackside barricades on the ground and share in the thrill as the track’s exciting features ensure the chance for any racer to take the lead at any time.

With a start and finish line positioned directly in front of the legendary Wolfman Jack Stage, and the races scheduled right before that night’s headlining Theory of a Deadman concert, it’s sure to be the wildest concert warm up you’ve ever seen!

The Rivalry

Tension will be so thick you could cut it with a knife as a rivalry older than the rally itself plays out right before your eyes. Presenting sponsor Indian Motorcycle will be tapping into the same spirit of competition with Harley-Davidson that sparked the first races between the Jackpine Gypsies and Rapid City Pioneer Motorcycle club during the Sturgis motorcycle rally in back 1938.

Experience this time-honored tradition as the next generation of racers and machines compete in a nearly century-old rivalry between Indian and The Motor Company.

Indian’s Wrecking Crew will be led by the 2016 Grand National Champion and 2015 X Games Gold Medalist “Flyin’ “ Bryan Smith, piloting the revolutionary Scout FTR750. Smith won the 2016 AMA Pro Flat Track title in spectacular fashion at the season finale over fellow Wrecking Crew rider, three-time Grand National Champion and 2016 X Games gold medalist Jared “Jammer” Mees. Completing Indian Motorcycle’s Wrecking Crew is 2013 Grand National Champion Brad “The Bullet” Baker.

The Rest is History

It was dirt track racing that brought the Sturgis motorcycle rally into being, and the introduction of this authentic matchup of motors at the rally’s spiritual home will be the very thing that helps keep the adventurous spirit of the rally alive.

Don’t miss your opportunity to get in touch with your roots while becoming part of a movement that will be talked about for generations to come. Reserve your passes now!
