(November 19, 2021): Starting as a simple keg party in a field to host Black Hills Motorcycle Rally attendees who had been pushed out of Sturgis City Park, the Sturgis Buffalo Chip has grown into a 600-acre venue that hosts the industry-leading concerts, camping and biker hospitality. After over forty successful years of throwing the “Best Party Anywhere,” the Sturgis Buffalo Chip is announcing a key new staff member to work with Rod “Woody” Woodruff and the Woodruff family. Motorcycle industry veteran Robert Pandya will join the team as Chief Operating Officer to help build on and create new traditions for the original party destination during the Sturgis Rally.

Sturgis, S.D. (November 12, 2021): Through the generosity of motorcyclists around the country, Sturgis Buffalo Chip charity events raised a record amount of over $477,000 for charities benefitting children, veterans and the local community during the 81st Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Sturgis, S.D. (October 28, 2021): The Sturgis Buffalo Chip joined the ranks of top tourism destinations on Wednesday when it received two awards presented by the Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association during the organization’s annual meeting. Buffalo Chip founder and president Rod Woodruff accepted the Pioneer Award, which honors an individual whose devotion and passion have greatly influenced the Black Hills visitor industry.

Sturgis, S.D. (July 9, 2021): Known organically for years as the Home For Women in Sturgis, the Sturgis Buffalo Chip is officially declaring the Tuesday of rally week Women’s Day at the Chip. Tuesday, Aug. 10 will be a day for women riders, passengers and the friends who support them to gather and celebrate at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. Women’s Day at the Chip features women-led components for all women in motorcycling: pilot, passenger, industry rep, aspiring riders and others. The activities will emphasize inclusivity, so all are welcome to take part in the many events and activities planned at the free-access Buffalo Chip CrossRoads that day. Sturgis, SD (June 30, 2021): The Sturgis Buffalo Chip is kicking off the 81^st Sturgis Rally and their 40^th anniversary celebration the only way they know how – by throwing one huge party. On Friday, Aug. 6, the Buffalo Chip amphitheater will come alive with the roar of motorcycles and the deafening bump of music courtesy of Puddle Of Mudd and Blacklite District. The Sturgis Rally Kickoff Party will feature a parade of magnificent machines and famous faces making their grand entry down Buffalo Chip Main St. starting at 5 p.m, including racers from Ultra4 Off Road Racing and Xtreem Flat Track. For those that can’t make it but want to attend, the entirety of the Kickoff party will be livestreamed on YouTube on Buffalo Chip Live.

Sturgis, SD (May 13, 2021): Stock motorcycle haters will rejoice as the Sturgis Buffalo Chip has teamed up with the world’s preeminent custom motorcycle builders to host a series of prestigious motorcycle shows for the 81^st Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The Sturgis Buffalo Chip Custom Series is comprised of nine distinct world-class bike shows that will take place during the venue’s 40^th anniversary. In addition to winning prizes like cash and parts, builders showcasing their creations will have the opportunity to compete for the top award of Custom Series King (or Queen) live on the Wolfman Jack Main Stage Friday, Aug. 13 prior to headlining entertainment from Shinedown.
