The party at the Buffalo Chip during the 2015 Sturgis Rally broke damn near every record in the book. From insane stunts to colossal concert crowds to partiers in panties, history was made around every turn. Were you there for the most epic events? Keep reading to find out!

1. Doug Danger Jumps 22 Cars in the Buffalo Chip Amphitheater

In a terrifying display of courage, motorcycle daredevil Doug Danger pulled off a jump on Aug. 6 that even the great Evel Knievel® could never accomplish. Riding Knievel’s own 1972 XR-750, Danger roared down a dirt path between packed campers, under a steel bridge, up an engineered ramp and over 22 cars set along the main street through the center of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip amphitheater. The back tire of the 40-year-old Harley bit the edge of the landing ramp and stuck after a quick bounce. Danger just barely missed the edge of the decking surrounding the Chip’s famed Top Shelf bar where onlookers gasped at the daring feat from just 20 feet away.

2. 182 Guests Caught with Their Pants Down during Big Woody’s Panty Party

While Big Woody’s Panty Party fell short of its goal to break the Guinness Book World Record for the most people gathered in only their underwear, the 182 clad only in their skivvies who gathered for the event on Wednesday, Aug. 5 did not leave defeated. The group vowed to attempt the record again and turn the gathering into an annual event.

3. Budweiser Clydesdales Parade Through Amphitheater Carrying Distinguished Veterans

The Budweiser Clydesdales delighted guests throughout the week at the CrossRoads at the Buffalo Chip®, but when the team of gentle giants hitched up to pull a group distinguished veterans through the crowd during the Freedom Celebration on Thursday, Aug. 6, there was hardly a dry eye in the amphitheater.

4. Nearly 1,000 Bikers and Bikes Create the World’s Largest Human and Motorcycle Eagle

Nearly 1,000 motorcycles and riders gathered near the Buffalo Chip’s Field of Flags on Thursday, Aug. 6 under the direction of artist John Quigley to form an eagle the size of a football field. Known as Eagle 75, the formation honored veterans and promoted clean water practices.

5. International Bikini Team Participates in the Homemade Bikini Contest

It’s hard to imagine anything hotter than the Chip’s daily Homemade Bikini Contest at Bikini Beach. That is, until the lovely ladies of the Miss Buffalo Chip Pageant decided to try their hand at creating swimwear from supplies like bandanas, party hats and caution tape.

6. John Shope Burns Out with Paul Yaffe on the Main Stage

After months of friendly competition in the Buffalo Chip Challenge™, legendary builders John Shope and Paul Yaffe collided on the Wolfman Jack Stage Sunday, Aug. 2 to debut the two motorcycles being auctioned off in support of the 8th annual Legends Ride®. Getting in one last dig, Shope blew clouds of exhaust into Yaffe’s face while doing one seriously epic burnout in front of the crowd.

7. Lynyrd Skynyrd Draws Record Number of Fans to the Amphitheater

It wouldn’t have been history’s biggest biker party without a performance from the Chip’s most requested band, Lynyrd Skynyrd. And when these Southern rock gods took to the Wolfman Jack Stage on Tuesday, Aug. 4, we’re pretty sure the entire Sturgis Rally was inside the amphitheater to yell out “Freebird!”
